The section focuses on Virginia Gill and Afshar Hussain’s houses and the terrible damp that has affected their lives. Zoe Conway, the BBC Radio 4 today reporter of the story posted these tweets highlighting the extent of the damage caused.

Zoe Conway then spoke to Nan Hudson, Leeds, saying that “I can smell the damp I can see the damp on the walls” then when asked how the damp effects her life Nan Hudson replied, “Well I have to take an inhaler twice a day.”
Conway goes on to meet Damian Mercer who extracts wall insulation and looks at one of the homes that have had cavity wall extraction and the problems are still going on. The owner of this property states she doesn’t trust CIGA (Cavity Insulation Guarantee Agency) and the installer of the wall insulation says they’re not to blame.
